2015 Rodeo Cove

Rodeo Cove is one of my favorite places to practice surf photography, mainly because there are nicely sized stacks that are close enough to satisfy my need for wide angle compositions, and waves that are gentle, but strong enough to fill your framed compositons. At this workshop, we worked on suncrack technique, long exposure effects, and how to isolate your foreground subjects using water. There is only a few yards of subject matter to work with here, but this limitation really forces one to concentrate on composition versus spending a lot of time to scout the place.
